About Portfolio
who we are
Portfolio is an Award Winning Technology Advisor
Technology buyers are doubling down on solutions that deliver real outcomes—faster execution, smarter automation, and measurable ROI.
The "age of arrogant management consultants is over," a sentiment echoed by technology leaders, driven by AI's impact, has shifted client expectations and fostered a reevaluation of the legacy consulting model.
Clients now want practical, tangible solutions, moving beyond static, presentation-based advice and seeking consultants who are willing to "get in the trenches" and co-create solutions with their teams.
As technology decision making grows more complex, technology advisors have emerged as an indispensable guide for businesses navigating cloud, AI, telecom, mobility, security, and voice options.
Portfolio is your strategic guide improving the cumbersome process of benchmarking, researching, evaluating, selecting, and implementing vendors and technology for your Infrastructure.
We are intimately invested in initial and long-term IT and Business outcomes for our clients. We understand the buyers journey.
We lead as a fiduciary of our client’s environments, focusing on consulting, simplifying choices, integration, technical support, project management and long term optimization.
We engage beyond a transactional buying decisions, becoming an extension of your team.
- Infrastructure decisions are career defining 4-6 years decision cycles
- We help clients make these significant decisions many times a month, not just a few within an IT career.
- Help manage RFPs, Project Management, Post Sales Engineering and Project Support
- We are vendor agnostic, yet prescriptive.
Engage With Portfolio
Rather than pay high consulting fees that are hours based, rather than outcome based, engage Portfolio to help with your initiative.
The desire for tech advisory continues to rise among mid-market: 96% of decision makers indicated they are interested in their help (vs 92% in 2024), while one third of enterprise buyers agree.
Portfolio represents hundreds of vendors across 9 technology verticals.
We are agnostic to vendor or solution.
As a result, Portfolio is best positioned to combine multiple vendors and solutions to most closely meet both your technical and economic needs.
Vendors typically pay sales representatives to sell their products. Vendors also compensate Technology Advisors to sell their products. In fact, most major connectivity, security, mobility, telephony, and cloud vendors realize the majority of their total sales from Technology Advisors! This vendor based payment compensates Portfolio instead of you paying for our consulting services.
- As of early 2025, Lumen has a strategic goal to have 70% of its sales run through its partner or advisor channel over the next 5 to 10 years, claimed Kate Johnson CEO Lumen.
- 95% figure for commercial revenue. Several industry analyses and posts from marketing agencies specializing in the Microsoft partner channel reported that partners influence up to 95% of Microsoft's commercial revenue in 2024. This high percentage reflects the deep integration of the partner network in selling Microsoft's core business products, such as Azure and Microsoft 365.
- AI opportunities are partner-driven. In 2025, Microsoft announced that it would be focusing 70% of its total incentive spending on partners that serve the Small, Medium Enterprises and Channel (SME&C) segment, particularly around AI initiatives like Copilot. This highlights the ongoing commitment to drive growth through the channel, especially with emerging technologies.
- Targeted 50% through partners: As of 2021, Equinix had a stated goal from its CEO to conduct over 50% of its business through partners "in the next few years"
- During its fiscal year 2022, Genesys announced that "more than 50% of new bookings were influenced by partners".
- George Fischer, who leads sales for T-Mobile for Business, said earlier this week that they are shooting for a 50% channel revenue increase in 2025.
